ABOUT
My parents introduced me to a film camera when I was 8 years old. I was intrigued by the way light, color, and perspective could be used to create unique images. This notion still captivates me. As a result, I spend a lot of time observing natural light streaming through trees, glowing behind meadow grass, and illuminating mountains.
I live in Issaquah, WA, with my family. We have 2 ducks who live in our vegetable garden, a dog, 2 cats, and a greenhouse that has recently become a studio space/homeschool room during good weather days. I love freshly made juice, digging in the dirt, and hiking. My husband is from New Zealand. While we don't get the chance to travel often, our favorite destinations are the islands of the South Pacific and New Zealand's wilderness. I like reading narrative nonfiction and historical fiction. I have an extensive collection of wordless picture books because I am intrigued by artists who tell stories without language. Teaching after school nature-based classes to kids and taking kids portraits are the two best jobs I've ever had. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with me - my other favorite thing is getting to know people.
